Your museum needs your help

Volunteers are needed to help carry out short surveys for Parc Howard Museum as part of its Llanelly Pottery Stories project.

Funding of more than £100,000 has been secured to help uncover and reveal Llanelly Pottery’s hidden stories.

This work includes getting a better understanding of people’s perceptions about the museum and the story of the pottery and as part of this, feedback is needed from as many people as possible through a short survey.

So if you have a few hours to spare then please get in touch, full training will be given and out-of-pocket expenses paid.

It is hoped each volunteer can carry out 10 -15 surveys asking people a set of short questions which will help inform the team on views about Parc Howard and the story of the pottery.

A range of views are needed so they are looking for people who will take the surveys to the local library or swimming pool, and the supermarket or shopping centre.

Council Executive Board Member for Culture, Sport and Tourism Cllr Peter Hughes Griffiths said: “If you or anyone you know is willing to donate a few hours of their time to help us reach as many people as we can across Llanelli, this is a fantastic way of helping to support Parc Howard in its ambition to become much more informed on the needs of its local communities.”
