Information and support for parents
The Welsh Government announced that all schools would close by the March 20, 2020. At present we do not have an indication of how long the schools are to remain closed, however, we will continue to monitor the situation; follow advice from the Government and will inform parents accordingly.
We have contacted all headteachers and management staff at specialist settings and asked them to make contact with the families of all pupils with additional learning needs and those placed in specialist settings to check on a weekly basis that the children are receiving the wellbeing support they require and that the family is coping.
Each family with a child with additional learning needs or whose child attends a specialist setting and requires individual support has been contacted directly by one of our family liaison officers to ascertain what is needed and how the child can be supported, either through a mainstream hub, or whether alternative support needs to be arranged.
We would like to thank parents and guardians for their continued support and co-operation during the ongoing challenges posed by coronavirus (Covid-19).
