Works set to start on new cycling and walking path
Work is set to re-start on a new shared use path (cycling and walking) alongside Pontarddulais Road (B4297) through Llangennech.
This is a continuation of works previously completed outside Tal-y-Clun estate and forms part of the wider master plan for improved pedestrian and cycling infrastructure to support Active Travel in the Llanelli area.
These are essential works to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists.
After careful consideration and in line with Welsh Government guidance and the current social distancing recommendations, Carmarthenshire County Council has agreed with its contractor Evan Pritchard to re-start the work from May 11.
It is expected to take 10-12 weeks to complete as the grant funding for the scheme is timebound.
The situation will be continuously monitored for any changes.
Carmarthenshire County Council and Evan Pritchard respectfully ask that members of the public respect the social distancing guidance and do not jeopardise workers’ safety.
