Council launches exciting new apprenticeship opportunities

Carmarthenshire County Council has launched a wide range of new and exciting apprenticeship opportunities.

From data and systems, digital learning, finance, makerspace(libraries), mechanic, leisure and more — there’s a wide variety of roles available, for those just starting out or ready for a change of career.

The closing date for applications is Sunday, 6 July.

The Council is holding face to face and online apprenticeship information sessions where you can find out more about a hands-on career in your chosen field

  • Monday, 16 June - Ammanford Library from 1pm-6pm
  • Tuesday, 17 June - Llanelli Library from 1pm -6pm
  • Wednesday, 18 June - Join online at 6pm Sign up here
  • Thursday, 19 June - Carmarthen Library from 1pm -6pm
  • Monday, 23 June - Join online at 1pm Sign up here

During these sessions Managers will be on hand to meet you and tell you more about the apprenticeships on offer. There will also be support on how to apply, the application form process and learn how apprenticeships work and what the qualifications lead to.

There will also be a chance to get real insights and advice from people who were once where you are now.

Cabinet Member responsible for Organisation and Workforce, Cllr Philip Hughes, said:

Apprenticeships are a great opportunity to earn whilst you learn and to develop practical skills and get ready for the world of work.”

  • Translator Level 4 Higher apprentice
