Explore Carmarthenshire on two wheels this summer, with traffic free cycle routes throughout the county suitable for families, adventurers and nature lovers to discover the beauty of the county by bike.
A new video has been created to highlight some of Carmarthenshire’s best cycle routes.
Top cycle routes to explore:
1. Western section of the Tywi Valley Path
A peaceful new riverside route that's quickly becoming a favourite. Start at Carmarthen Museum in Abergwili and onwards to Nantgaredig
2. National Cycle Network Route 4 – Millennium Coastal Path
Cycle from Llanelli to Pembrey Country Park, taking in breathtaking views over Carmarthen Bay and the Gower Peninsula, with plenty of family-friendly stops along the way.
3. National Cycle Network Route 47 – Swiss Valley Trail
Enjoy a shady woodland ride through to Tumble, passing the tranquil Swiss Valley Reservoir, continuing towards Cross Hands.
4. National Cycle Network Route 437 – Amman Valley Riverside Path
Starting at Pantyffynnon RFC ground leading to Brynaman and Ynys Dawela Nature Park, this gentle riverside route is perfect for families and has great picnic spots, play areas and peaceful scenery.
