Pembrey Country Park Celebrates a Successful Summer of Events

Pembrey Country Park has enjoyed a vibrant and successful summer season, hosting a wide range of events delivered by Carmarthenshire County Council as well as numerous activities organised by private operators. The park has welcomed thousands of visitors, cementing its reputation as one of Carmarthenshire’s premier destinations for leisure, culture and family experiences.

Highlights so far this summer have included Street Food Circus, Beach Safaris, the Urdd Cross Country Championships, Family Fun Days, Junior Ski Camps and the Miniature Railway Summer Gala. Most recently, the park played host to the Cwtchlaa 2025 Festival on Saturday 16 August, the one-day festival sold out in advance and featured live tribute music, street food, wellbeing sessions, children’s activities, a funfair, and a headline set from Flash: A Tribute to Queen – all of which received an enthusiastic response from the crowd.

Cllr Hazel Evans, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Leisure, Culture & Tourism, said:

This summer has been fantastic for Pembrey Country Park, with Council-run events and those delivered by private organisers together offering something for everyone. It was wonderful to see so many families, visitors and local residents enjoying the park, whether for sport, culture, food or music. Events like these not only support our local economy but also showcase Carmarthenshire as a must-visit destination.”

The summer isn’t over yet – there are still events to enjoy before the school holidays end, including a free outdoor theatre performance on 28 and 29 August.
