Tender opportunity: Plant, Machinery and Equipment Framework

Carmarthenshire County Council has launched a new tender for the hire of plant, machinery and equipment, both with and without an operator.

The Council aims to establish a Framework Agreement with several suppliers who can provide a wide range of equipment to support Council operations. This will include machinery such as excavators, sweepers, telehandlers, rollers and dumpers.

The tender is now live, and the deadline for submissions is Friday 16 January 2026 at 2:00pm.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and sole traders are encouraged to apply.

Business Wales offers free, independent advice and practical guidance to help businesses access the e-tender system and prepare their submissions.

Carmarthenshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Transport, Waste and Infrastructure Services, Cllr Edward Thomas, said:

I encourage businesses of all sizes, including sole traders, to tender for this opportunity.
The Council is committed to keeping its spend within the County as much as possible, supporting local businesses, and creating jobs. I’m sure there are businesses and individuals in our communities who can deliver this type of work but may need help with the tendering process. That’s why accessing the support available is so important.”
