Carmarthenshire County Council is offering local businesses a valuable opportunity to access expert advice, practical support and new connections at the Summer Tourism and Business Roadshow 2026.

Taking place on 30 July 2026 at the National Botanic Garden of Wales, this free event is designed to help businesses grow, strengthen connections and unlock new opportunities.
The roadshow will bring together a wide range of Council services and specialist advisors under one roof, giving businesses direct access to the guidance they need to thrive.
The event will run from 9:45am to 4:00pm, with an optional breakfast networking session from 8:30am. This early session offers attendees the chance to connect with peers and hear from guest speaker James Owen of Stori Cymru, who will share insights into the power of storytelling in building strong, authentic brands.

Throughout the day, attendees will be able to access free, tailored advice across a range of key areas, including funding opportunities, licensing and planning, waste legislation, marketing support, and recruitment through Communities for Work Plus. The Council’s Tourism Team will also be available to discuss upcoming campaigns, filming opportunities, business events and partnership working, as well as provide insight into 2026 marketing themes and enhanced digital approaches.
A key feature of this year’s event is a series of practical workshops aimed at strengthening digital presence. Sessions include Beyond Posting: Building Better Social Media Engagement (Purple Dog), which focuses on developing a more strategic and sustainable approach to social media, and a Google Business Profile Workshop (Ranked & Ready), offering hands-on guidance to improve visibility on Google Search and Maps.

In the afternoon, businesses will have the opportunity to book one-to-one sessions with Council colleagues as well as industry experts, including Rebecca Callaghan (Purple Dog) and Jordan Wilcox (Ranked & Ready). These sessions will offer tailored advice, business support and opportunities to enhance online presence and marketing effectiveness.

Speaking about the event, Carmarthenshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Leisure, Culture and Tourism, Cllr Hazel Evans, said:

“This roadshow is about giving businesses real, practical support they can act on. From expert advice to valuable networking opportunities, we want to ensure businesses leave with the knowledge, confidence and connections they need to grow.”
Attendance is free, but all sessions must be pre-booked via Cymorth Busnes Sir Gâr Business Support

The event is organised by Carmarthenshire County Council and funded through the UK Government and Welsh Government.
