Council and local businesses work together to help you Buy with Confidence

Carmarthenshire County Council is working with local businesses to ensure residents have access to a wide range of safe and reliable traders throughout the county.

In the last six months, a number of businesses have joined Carmarthenshire’s branch of the nationally recognised Buy with Confidence scheme including a pest control business, taxi hire and flooring suppliers.

Paul Crouch of Verminator Pest Control has become the first pest control business in Carmarthenshire to join the scheme, offering services to eradicate mice, rats, fleas and a number of other pests.

S&G taxis in Llanelli have also recently joined Buy with Confidence. This involved additional checks to the usual taxi licensing procedure to give customers extra peace of mind that they are using safe and reliable transport.

A number of businesses from the construction industry have also joined the scheme including Iwan Green of IG Construction based in Trimsaran who offer general building work and new build developments. RM & S Roofing, Gorslas have also joined and undertake all general roofing work including renewals, repairs and flat roofs.

Two Llanelli based companies are also enabling their customers to buy with confidence. Flooring, carpet and furniture supplier Rickwoods Llanelli and Financial advice company Financial Solutions Wales Ltd have recently joined the scheme.

Buy with Confidence only accepts businesses committed to operating in a legal, honest and fair way and includes taxi hire, garden maintenance, locksmiths, TV repair, cleaning services, carpentry and many more.

Any business can apply to join the scheme, with a number of detailed checks in place to ensure that only trustworthy businesses become Trading Standards approved.”
