This Christmas, Carmarthenshire County Council has arranged for 4 beautiful pop- up wooden huts to feature in Market Precinct, behind the clocktower in Carmarthen town centre, creating a temporary food quarter. The food market will run from 29 November to 16 December.

The huts will be filled with various food and drink, provided by food businesses from Carmarthenshire and neighbouring counties.

The list of businesses attending are as follows:

- Duff Nuts
- Llŷr Davies at Cig Cymru
- Cegin Hedyn
- West Wales Chock Shop
- Blasus Welsh Cakes
- Cook 24
- Bloomsugar Cakes
- Good Carma
- A Team Delights

Cegin yr Hedyn will be raising money for their Christmas Day appeal, when they will provide food and entertainment on Christmas Day. There is also an opportunity to visit the Cegin yr Hedyn stand to donate surplus fruit and vegetables which will go towards their appeal. For more information on this, please visit their website.

As part of the festivities, there will be a range of entertainment each Wednesday and Saturday, including live music, the Adran Ffynonddrain choir, and an appearance from Mrs Sian Corn, who will be available to take photographs with children. Cook 24, a gateway course into food skills provided by industry professionals in collaboration with ColegSirGâr will be providing live cooking demonstrations.

The Carmarthen Christmas Food Market is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
