Emergency road closure on the A485 Pencader

An emergency road closure has taken place on a section of the A485 road, near Pencader today, 7 November 2023.

The road has been closed from a point 770 metres north-east of its junction with the B4459 for a distance of 200 metres in a north-easterly direction.

A traffic diversion has been put in place.

The closure is necessary to ensure public safety whilst Carmarthenshire County Council deal with a collapsed culvert.

Pedestrians and motorists are urged to stay away from the area until the road is reopened.
