Good news for visitors to Cefn Sidan Beach after the site retains its Blue Flag status.

The beach is known for its 8 mile stretch of glorious sands and blue sea, located at Pembrey Country Park, is the perfect destination for lovers of the seaside to visit.

Blue Flag status is recognised internationally and is only awarded to beaches, marinas and harbours that have the highest quality water, environmental education, safety, and services. The accolade is an indication of a world-class visiting experience and attraction site for local people and visitors to Carmarthenshire. The award is given after careful consideration by a selected international jury panel.

Carmarthenshire County Council’s Head of Service for Leisure, Ian Jones said:

Pembrey County Park sets out high environmental standards across its site. Retaining the Blue Flag Status reflects this dedication to keeping Carmarthenshire’s beaches safe, clean and welcoming.
The Blue Flag Status is nothing new to Cefn Sidan Beach, as it was the first beach in Wales to achieve this coveted award, and it is the ideal location for families and friends to enjoy the sunshine.

Pembrey Country Park is an award-winning park and beach in Carmarthenshire, set inside 500 acres of woodlands, and golden sands. It is one of Wales’s Top Visitor attractions, providing a unique blend of coast and countryside and has got everything to provide a perfect family day out, weekend camping break or a relaxing holiday in idyllic surroundings.
