Tender Opportunity for the Council’s Highway Verge Mowing and Hedge Cutting Framework
14 days ago

Carmarthenshire County Council is inviting businesses that can undertake highway verge mowing and hedge cutting to tender for a new Framework. The appointed contractors will provide grass cutting services on roadside and footway verges, roundabouts, and carry out visibility cutting on bends and junctions in both urban and rural areas across the County.
The Framework tender is now live, and the deadline for tender submissions is Friday 7 March 2025 at 2:00pm.
Support is available for small and medium-sized businesses looking to bid for this opportunity. Please visit the Business Wales website for further information: Homepage | Business Wales
Business Wales will also be delivering a free Live Tender Webinar specifically for those tendering for this Framework at 11:00 am on Thursday 13 February 2025. The session will provide advice and guidance on accessing the e-tender and submitting a bid.
Registration is essential to secure a place on the webinar. To register, please contact Business Wales at 01656 868500 or email trading@businesswales.org.uk.
Cllr Edward Thomas, Cabinet Member for Transport, Waste and Infrastructure Services, said:
I encourage businesses of all sizes, including sole traders, to tender for this work. The Council is committed to keeping its spend within the County as much as possible, supporting local businesses, and creating jobs. I’m sure there are businesses and individuals in our communities who can deliver this type of work but may need help with the tendering process. That’s why registering for the webinar is so important.”
