Emergency road closure on B4459 Pencader

An emergency road closure will take place on Sunday 27 July on the B4459 near the property of Bryn Gwinau, Pencader (SA39 9HL) from a point 1.2 kilometres north west of its junction with the A485 for a distance of 526 metres in a north westerly direction.
The closure is necessary while BT Openreach carry out work to restore customer services between 8am and 3pm.
Pedestrian access will be maintained where possible, as well as access to affected local buses T1/T1c (0833, 1033, 1233, 1433, 1633, 1833, 1221, 1421, 1621, 1821, 2021, 1038 and 1959).
Alternative route:
North west-bound traffic should travel south east along the B4459 to its junction with the A485. Turn left onto the A485 and continue north east through Gwyddgrug and New Inn to the junction with the B4336. Turn left onto the B4336 and proceed north west to its junction with the B4459 at Llanfihangel-ar-arth. Turn left again onto the B4459 and travel south/south east through Cross Inn and Pencader to rejoin the route north west of the closure point. The same route applies in reverse for south east-bound traffic.
Access to public transport and pedestrian movement will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
