There’s still time to donate to Carmarthenshire County Council’s Christmas Toybox Appeal 2025, which helps hundreds of families in Carmarthenshire who can’t afford to buy toys or gifts for their children.
Individuals, businesses, organisations and schools from across Carmarthenshire have once again generously donated to the appeal, with Carmarthenshire based food wholesaler Castell Howell donating chocolate bars and selection boxes for every suitable child as well as a £1,000 donation. Llanelli Town Council also provided £1,750 worth of toys.
Other generous donations have been given or collected by Llanddarog Young Farmers Club, Llannon School, Ysgol Gymraeg Ammanford, Tesco, Ysgol Maes y Gwendraeth, Llandyfaelog Community Hall Committee, Morrisons in Llanelli, Bethesda Chapel in Tumble, Zion Chapel in Drefach, St Twrog’s Church in Llanddarog, Llandeilo Rotary Club, Llanddarog Short Mat Bowls Club, Peniel Chapel, Capel Moreia, Carmarthen Tabernacle Chapel, Merched y Wawr Llanddarog and Hendygwyn ar Daf, The Urdd Office in Carmarthen, Community Councils across the county and Priordy, Heol Awst, Elim, Cana and Bancyfelin Chapels.
Amman Valley Christmas Charity Run is also supporting the appeal this year, with donations accepted from runners and walkers taking part in various routes. The event will take place on Sunday 21 December 2025 at 9am from Ammanford Job Centre Car Park.
Financial donations can be made online. Cash or cheque donations can be made via phone. Please call 07814 716380.
Carmarthenshire County Council’s Leader, Cllr Linda Evans, said:
Once again individuals, businesses and organisations from across Carmarthenshire have shown true generosity with donations of toys as well as financial contributions to the Christmas Toybox Appeal. There’s still time for anyone who wishes to give to do so, with donation points at various locations across the county. Thank you once again to everyone who has given so far.”
