Residents and businesses invited to help shape the future of their towns
5 days ago
Residents and businesses across Carmarthenshire are invited to have their say on the future of their towns at a series of community engagement events later this month.
The drop-in sessions, taking place in Llanelli, Carmarthen and Ammanford, will provide local people with the opportunity to review the consultation findings, share their views, and help determine the next steps for their communities.
The sessions will be held from 3pm to 7pm on:
24 February 2026 – 1 Stepney Precinct, Llanelli
25 February 2026 – Towy Community Church, St Catherine’s Walk, Carmarthen
26 February 2026 – Pensioner’s Hall, Ammanford
All residents and businesses are welcome to attend at any time during the sessions to speak with officers and provide feedback.
Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Leisure, Culture and Tourism Cllr Hazel Evans, said:
“Our towns are shaped by the people who live and work in them. We want to hear directly from residents and local businesses about what matters most to them and what they would like to see in the future.
These sessions are an important opportunity for people to share their ideas, raise concerns and help influence our next steps. Your views will play a key role in shaping the future direction of your community, and I would encourage everyone to come along and have their say.”
The events form part of the council’s commitment to ensuring that local voices remain central to decision-making and future planning.
