Carmarthenshire County Council proudly commemorates the late Welsh rugby legend, Phil Bennett, with the unveiling of a new commemorative plaque on the pedestrian and cycling bridge in Llanelli. This plaque not only honours Bennett's remarkable sporting achievements but also recognises his profound contributions to the community he called home.

Phil Bennett, hailing from Felinfoel, left an indelible mark on the rugby field, captivating audiences with his skill and passion for the game. Beyond his sporting prowess, Bennett was a beloved figure in the community, known for his generosity and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
