To help ensure collections run smoothly over the Bank Holiday period, additional casual staff have been appointed following a recent recruitment drive.

Cabinet Member for Waste, Transport, and Infrastructure Services, Cllr Edward Thomas, said:

Our teams are committed to providing a consistent waste collection service for residents, even during busy holiday periods like the Spring Bank Holiday. Building on the success of collections over Easter and May Day, we are focused on maintaining the same reliability for the upcoming Bank Holiday. I also want to thank the dedicated teams who volunteer their time to keep services running smoothly during bank holidays.”

Although we aim to collect as scheduled, there may be localised disruptions that could change at short notice. To help avoid collection disruptions and ensure the safety of everyone in our community, please park responsibly to ensure waste collection vehicles can pass safely.

Please keep an eye on our waste disruptions page for any updates.

The recycling centres in Trostre, Nantycaws, Wernddu, and Whitland will be open as usual over the Bank Holiday weekend. You can check their opening times here.

Thank you for recycling.
