Pembrey Country Park has been announced as the location for this year’s Wales National Armed Forces Day.
Carmarthenshire will host the event on 27 June 2026. This family-friendly event invites the public to show their support for the Armed Forces community.
Armed Forces Day is celebrated each year in a different region of Wales, bringing communities together to recognise and thank our Armed Forces. The event is delivered in partnership with local authorities, the Welsh Government, the tri-services, and a range of supporting organisations.
The award winning Pembrey Country Park overlooking Carmarthen Bay is one of Wales most visited attractions; 500 acres of Green Flag awarded woodlands, alongside a Blue Flag eight-mile beach, dry ski slope, toboggan ride, crazy golf, train rides, adventure play area, a variety of nature trails and touring caravan site.
With on-site camping facilities available, Pembrey provides the perfect base for families, veterans and visitors travelling from across Wales and beyond to turn the celebrations into a memorable weekend.
Early booking for camping is advised due to expected high demand during the event weekend.
Carmarthenshire County Council’s Armed Forces Champion, Cllr Philip Hughes, Cabinet Member for Organisation & Workforce, said:
“It is an honour for Carmarthenshire to host the 2026 Wales Armed Forces National Day.
“We’re very grateful to everyone, including the Forces, Welsh Government and the Armed Forces communities across the county who are supporting us in organising this event at one of the County Council’s most prestigious facilities. We hope that the people in the county, and across Wales, will come and show their support to the Armed Forces in Wales.”
